How It Works
Paste your numbers
Type or paste your values into the box, separated by commas, spaces or new lines. Blank entries and non-numbers are ignored.
Let it calculate
The mean, median, mode, range and other statistics update automatically as you edit the list.

The headline shows the mean (average); the card below breaks down count, sum, median, mode, minimum, maximum and range.
The "average" of a list of numbers usually means the arithmetic mean: add everything up and divide by how many values there are. But a single number rarely tells the whole story, which is why statisticians also look at the median and mode to understand the center, and at the range, minimum and maximum to understand the spread.
This calculator computes all of those measures at once from a simple list you paste in. It is handy for grades, survey results, expenses, sports stats or any quick data analysis where you want the full picture rather than just one number — no spreadsheet required.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between mean, median and mode?
The mean is the sum of all values divided by how many there are. The median is the middle value when the data is sorted. The mode is the value that appears most often. They are all measures of the "center" of a data set but can differ when the data is skewed.
How is the median calculated for an even number of values?
When there is an even count, there is no single middle value, so the median is the average of the two middle values after sorting. This calculator handles both odd and even counts automatically.
What happens if every number appears only once?
When no value repeats, the data set has no mode, and the calculator reports the mode as "none". If several values tie for most frequent, the smallest of those values is shown.
How do I enter my numbers?
You can separate values with commas, spaces, tabs or line breaks — mix them freely. Anything that is not a valid number is skipped, so pasting messy data still works.
